The Dedicated Cloud
for Discovery.

Commercial cloud was architected for commerce. We are building the first distributed and dedicated infrastructure engineered for scientific research at any scale—from individual contributor breakthroughs to petabyte-scale archives.

Science Has a Data Problem.

Modern research generates data demands that break the commercial web. High egress fees, lack of long-term preservation, and complexity are stifling discovery for everyone—from local S.T.E.A.M. groups to national laboratories.

The tools that run Netflix cannot run the Climate Model.

The Egress Trap

Commercial clouds charge you to move data. We provide massive pipes with predictable costs for research partners.

Bit Rot

Standard storage degrades. Our "Geologic Storage" vaults are optimized for 50-year data integrity.

Density Limits

Simulating protein folding requires massive heat rejection. Our industrial cooling supports extreme HPC density.

Industrial-Grade Architecture

A purpose-built data lifecycle engine designed to ingest, process, and preserve scientific assets.

1. Ingress Nodes

Rapid data ingestion at the network edge. Accessible for community projects and major observatories alike to minimize latency.

2. Compute Clusters

Scalable GPU environments designed for simulation and training. Supporting workloads from single-rack community projects to massive burst compute.

3. Deep Archive Vaults

Geologically stable, EMP-shielded subterranean storage. Optimized for multi-generational data preservation and "Cold Data" integrity.

The 46 North Secure Lattice

A private, dedicated fiber backbone bypassing congested public internet exchanges. Distributed across the Northern United States, providing full-spectrum capabilities at every node.

* Network deployment follows a 30-Year Strategic Infrastructure Roadmap. "Discovery in Progress" indicates active site selection, grid analysis, and architectural planning are underway prior to final capital commitment. Operational timelines are subject to supply chain lead times and grid interconnection queues.

About the Initiative

We founded IAAS.science to answer a critical need: the scientific community lacks dedicated, purpose-built infrastructure. While hyperscalers optimize for commercial transactions, we optimize for long-term preservation and high-density compute.

Our facilities are located exclusively across the seismically stable Northern United States, utilizing "Cut and Cover" subterranean construction techniques to provide kinetic hardening and thermal stability that traditional data centers cannot match.

We operate a strictly secure, compliant network. All critical infrastructure is owned, operated, and maintained by US Persons within authorized jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with ITAR, EAR, and FedRAMP High physical security standards.

Our Core Tenets

  • Data Residency: Data never leaves the authorized legal jurisdiction.
  • Preservation: Infrastructure designed for 50-year data integrity, not 3-year refresh cycles.
  • Density: Cooling systems engineered for the extreme heat of scientific simulation.
  • Neutrality: We are a carrier-neutral, cloud-neutral sanctuary for knowledge.

Join the Mission

We are assembling a team of mission-driven engineers, security specialists, and operators to safeguard the future of scientific data.

Positions Coming Soon

We are currently in the infrastructure deployment phase. Hiring for operations and engineering roles will commence in Q3 2026.
